A few "Fascinating Facts About The Russian Revolution"..........

  • The Russian Revolution actually consisted of two separate events. The first, in February 1917, led to the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the establishment of a provisional government. The second, in October 1917, saw the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, seize power.

  • Before the Russian Revolution, the country was ruled by Tsar Nicholas II, a monarch with absolute power and a member of the Romanov family, that had ruled Russia since 1613.
